Job summary

Volvo Group in Bedford invites applications for HGV Technician Apprenticeships starting in 2027. You will learn to repair, service and maintain trucks and buses, with hands-on training and college blocks in Derby. The program runs 32 months and starts May or August 2027, with a 40-hour week and full equipment provided.

We seek enthusiastic individuals with a strong interest in heavy vehicles, good problem-solving, teamwork and GCSEs in Math and English. Training is funded by the employer.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at A*-C grades are required.
• Strong interest in heavy vehicles and a hands-on mindset.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs and maintenance under supervision.
• Learn diagnostics and use Volvo tools.
• Attend college courses as part of the 32-month program.
• Collaborate with the parts team to ensure correct replacements.
