Job summary

AB Volvo invites applications for HGV Technician Apprenticeships starting in 2027. You will be coached by qualified Technicians and learn to repair, service, MOT and maintain modern trucks, buses and coaches including hybrid technology.

The apprenticeship runs 32 months with block release to Inspiro Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby, and concludes with IMI Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification. Entry requires GCSEs in Math and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs and join the fault diagnosis process.
• Learn to use Volvo special tools safely and efficiently.
• Attend college courses regularly as part of the programme.
• Support parts team to ensure correct replacement parts are fitted.
