Job summary

Jago Consultants is assisting a prestige HGV/LCV dealership in Southampton in recruiting an HGV Technician for a late shift (13:30pm – 22:00pm). You will service and repair vehicles, diagnose faults and support breakdowns while ensuring accurate paperwork and warranty procedures are followed.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified, with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), and have experience with vehicle diagnostics and a valid driving licence for the class of vehicle.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with relevant trade qualifications.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Experience with diagnostics and fault finding on HGVs/LCVs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with breakdowns, servicing and maintenance repairs.
• Identify and diagnose vehicle faults to achieve first-time fixes.
• Communicate with customers, colleagues and service administration.
• Complete paperwork in line with company guidelines and manufacturer warranty procedures.

Our client is a leading prestige HGV/LCV Dealership who are looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician to join their growing team. Depending on experience they will consider Technicians with a passenger car background for LCV work, and experienced HGV technicians.

This role is to cover the late shift, Hours will be 13:30pm – 22:00pm

• You will be required to assist with breakdowns, to carry out servicing and maintenance repairs
• Identify and diagnose vehicle faults using a logical and efficient method to ensure first time fix is achieved.
• Communicate well with Customers, colleagues and Service Administration
• Complete all necessary paper work in-line with company guidelines and manufacturer warranty procedures
• You will be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician
• Qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 of equivalent
• Experienced in Vehicle Diagnostics
• Appropriate driving licence for class of vehicle
