AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle workshop. You will service, maintain and repair HGVs and trailers, diagnose faults, and follow manufacturer procedures to keep detailed service records.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience, a Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in HGV maintenance and repair preferred, and a professional, dependable attitude with a commitment to safety and quality.

Description

We are recruiting for an experienced

HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle workshop.

Salary – £45,000–£50,000, depending on experience

The HGV Technician Role

As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using specialist equipment.
• Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Following manufacturer procedures and completing accurate service records.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Requirements

The successful HGV Technician will have:

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience.
• Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in HGV maintenance and repair preferred.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• A professional and dependable approach.
