Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician; Volvo experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles, adhering to manufacturer procedures.
• Perform fault diagnosis utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Assist in road tests, where HGV licences are held.
• Ensure compliance with warranty procedures and accurately record all work undertaken.
• Support parts department to ensure correct fitting of replacement parts.
• Complete job cards and service sheets in accordance with Volvo standards.
• Report vehicle defects and maintain workshop facility standards.
• Support roadside breakdowns as required.
• Contribute to the development of new trainees and apprentices.

• - Up to £23 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications
• - Rotating shifts: 6am - 2.30pm and 2.30pm - 11pm
• - Overtime paid at time and a half from Monday to Saturday; double time on Sundays and bank holidays

Duties of a HGV Technician:
