Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Rugby. The role requires a Level 3 qualification, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK. Salary £44,000–£46,000 basic with overtime, hours Mon-Fri 8:00–17:00 (42.5 hrs).

You'll service, diagnose and repair commercial vehicles, with opportunities for master technician training and genuine career progression in a supportive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience as an HGV/Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong servicing, repair and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles, trucks and vans.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Repair engine, transmission, braking and suspension systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify faults.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Complete accurate job cards and repair records.

HGV Technician – Rugby

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Heavy Vehicle Technician or Truck Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Rugby. Applicants must have previous vehicle technician experience, hold a relevant Level 3 qualification, a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Rugby
Salary: £44,000 – £46,000 basic DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexible) | 42.5 hours per week
Overtime: Available at 1.25x hourly rate

HGV Technician Role

• Ability to use vehicle diagnostic equipment and software
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
