Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd, recruiting on behalf of a franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group, seeks an experienced HGV Technician for their busy Didcot location. This role offers strong career progression within a supportive team and access to manufacturer training including IRTEC accreditation.

You will perform service and diagnostics to manufacturer schedules, work efficiently under pressure, and contribute to customer satisfaction through professional service.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Minimum of 1–2 years post-qualification practical experience.
• Active HGV driving licence is highly advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all service work and maintenance within manufacturer time schedules with high quality and efficiency.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs of HGV malfunctions.
• Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations in the workshop.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies and safety procedures.
• Document diagnosis, repairs, service and safety inspections accurately.
• Contribute to customer retention by providing professional and reliable service.
