Job summary

Auto Skills UK are recruiting for an HGV / LCV Technician in Kent. You will service, maintain and repair HGVs and LCVs, diagnose faults and prepare vehicles for MOT.

The role offers up to £21.00 per hour DOE plus overtime and additional payments, 40 hours per week, rotating shifts, and a range of benefits including pension, healthcare and generous leave.

Support in gaining Class 1 & 2 licences and long-term career progression within a successful dealership are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy or Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as an HGV or LCV Technician preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills required.
• Good understanding of DVSA/VOSA standards expected.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy workshop.
• Basic Microsoft Outlook knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and LCVs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out inspections and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
• Work efficiently to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
