Job summary

Connect-Appointments is seeking an HGV Technician in the United Kingdom. The role offers £20 per hour, with overtime available, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm, subject to flexibility.

You will maintain vehicles to DVSA and company standards, prepare MOTs, perform basic checks, and support the maintenance team while ensuring accurate paperwork and safety records. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician; NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance ideal.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• C or CE licence preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles per DVSA and company requirements.
• Prepare MOTs and perform basic vehicle checks (tyre pressure, oil levels, wiper condition).
• Support the maintenance team with general vehicle upkeep.
• Complete all paperwork related to vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety standards.

What's on offer?

As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:

• Maintaining vehicles in line with DVSA and company requirements
• Carrying out MOT preparation and basic vehicle checks including tyre pressure, oil levels and wiper condition
• Supporting the maintenance team with general vehicle upkeep
• Completing all relevant paperwork related to vehicle maintenance
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all safety standards

To be considered as an HGV Technician, you will need:

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician (ideally also qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance)
• Full UK driving licence
• A reliable, professional approach to work
• C or C&E licence (preferred, but not essential)
