Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles in Bedford. The role offers the chance to work with modern HGV technology and a structured career development programme.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults, complete inspections, and ensure workshop documentation meets manufacturer standards. A City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance is required, along with a Full UK Driving Licence.

• Experience working on HGV or commercial vehicles.
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, reliable and team-focused approach.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

HGV Technician

Location: Bedford

Salary: Up to £51,620 DOE + Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday | Rotating Shifts

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for excellent earning potential, industry-leading training and genuine career progression? We're recruiting skilled HGV Technicians to join a growing commercial vehicle workshop. What's on Offer:

• Monday to Friday rotating shifts
• Saturday overtime, 7:00am-1:00pm, paid at time and half
• Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday-Saturday
• Double time Sundays & Bank Holidays
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 with service

• Full UK Driving Licence
• HGV Licence advantageous but not essential
