Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd in Northampton is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our service team. You will work on a variety of commercial vehicles, conducting inspections, servicing, and MOT preparations to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
• HGV Licence (preferred but not essential).

Job description

Job Title: HGV Technician

Location:Northampton

Salary:Up to £48,700 + MOT bonus

Shift:4on 4off Nights

Overtime:Paid at an enhanced rate

Key Responsibilities:

As part of a team of experienced HGV Technicians, you will work on a variety of commercial vehicles. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting vehicle inspections
• Performing routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
• Carrying out reactive maintenance as required
• Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT testing
• Diagnosing and rectifying running defects
• Undertaking general HGV Technician duties

Requirements:

• Comprehensive knowledge of HGVs and trailers
• Industry-recognized qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3) in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician
• HGV Licence (preferred but not essential)
