Job summary

A reputable commercial vehicle dealership in Newport is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy workshop. The role focuses on high-quality service, diagnostics, and repairs within manufacturer timeframes.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with no evenings or weekends. Training and development are provided as part of a long-standing, respected business environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Alternatively, extensive, long-serving experience in heavy vehicle repair.
• Able to produce high-quality work consistently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete all service and maintenance work to the highest standards within manufacturers' timeframes.
• Carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of vehicle malfunctions.
• Document all diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and service activities accurately; support colleagues with technical issues and ensure policy adherence.
• Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Support continuous improvement and technical development within the workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician to join a well-known business with a proud history of over 100 years. The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and repairs within a busy workshop environment, contributing to the ongoing success and customer satisfaction of the dealership.

Duties of a HGV Technician:
