Job summary

Hunter Knight Recruitment Ltd is assisting a reputable Newport group of commercial vehicle dealerships to recruit an HGV Technician. The role covers days, 4 on 4 off, with a 06:00–18:00 shift and 40 hours per week in Newport.

You will perform major and minor repairs on HGVs and trailers, conduct regular inspections, and work with a team to diagnose and plan repairs. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified HGV Technician to NVQ Level 3, able to deliver high-quality work in a busy

• Fully qualified HGV Technician to NVQ Level 3 is required.
• Able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop and meet team targets.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles and trailers.
• Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Assist diagnosis and planning of repairs with the team.
• Maintain accurate repair records and related paperwork.

Hourly Rate: £20.00 – Raising to £20.66ph after probation + Bonuses + Overtime rates £30.99ph

Our client, a reputable and growing group of commercial vehicle dealerships is currently looking for an HGV Technician to join their friendly Newport team.

The Role

• Performing major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles
• Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services
• Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles
• Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled
• Completing relevant documentation and paperwork

The Successful Individual

• You will need to be a fully qualified HGV Technician to NVQ Level 3
• You will need to be a committed individual and a good team player.
• You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
