Job summary

Streamline Search Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy in-house workshop crew in the United Kingdom. You will service, maintain and repair a modern fleet of HGVs and trailers, including supporting external vehicles where needed.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, at least 3 years on HGVs, and a proactive, self-motivated approach. Shifts run Monday to Friday with alternating Saturday mornings, and a competitive £40k-£50k salary with overtime and pension.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician/Mechanic with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working on HGVs and trailers.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with diagnostics and fault finding.
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised or in a team.
• Class 1 CE or Class 2 C HGV licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs and trailers.
• Complete servicing, repairs and general mechanical maintenance.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Prepare vehicles to the required standard for MOT testing.
• Identify and rectify faults efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Complete all required maintenance records, paperwork and job sheets.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company safety and compliance standards.
• Work independently while supporting the wider workshop team.

Our client is an established UK and international haulage company, operating a modern fleet of HGVs and trailers from a busy in-house workshop.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing the company fleet, alongside supporting external third-party vehicles.

Package:

• Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm / 10am-7pm rotating shifts
• Every other Saturday, 7am-2pm
• £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
• Overtime available

HGV Technician - Responsibilities:
