Job summary

Inverness-based dealer group is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their busy workshop. The role offers up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience, with overtime at enhanced rates and strong career progression within the commercial vehicle sector.

You will conduct major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, carry out inspections and preventive maintenance, and keep accurate records. A team-focused, quality-driven approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Strong commitment to producing high-quality work in a busy environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
• Undertake regular inspections and preventive maintenance services.
• Maintain workshop inventory and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Assist diagnosis and plan repairs in collaboration with repair teams.
• Complete and maintain accurate repair and service records.
• Process warranties and escalates claims when necessary as a HGV Technician.
• Perform wheel alignment and tyre fitting tasks.
• Complete all relevant documentation efficiently within set timeframes.
• Work proactively to meet the needs of customers and the business.
