Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a Tipton-based role. You will maintain, service, diagnose and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles to high safety and reliability standards.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm, offering a competitive £40,000-£45,000 salary. A supportive, family-run environment with opportunities for development is provided.

Qualifications

• Experienced HGV Technician
• Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence preferred
• IRTEC qualification preferred
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGVs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete inspections, MOT preparations, and defect rectification
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Work closely with the workshop team to keep vehicles on the road

As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGVs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
