Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a Monday–Friday, full-time role in London. You will perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs), routine servicing and repairs on commercial vehicles, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA inspections.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic.
• Experience carrying out PMIs, servicing and repairs on commercial vehicles.
• Understanding of DVSA standards and vehicle compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs).
• Complete routine servicing and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA inspections.
• Investigate and rectify defects identified during inspections and daily checks.
• Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer maintenance schedules.

Hours: Monday-Friday | 45 hours per week

Break: 1-hour paid break

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

• Strong attention to detail
