Job summary

Inception pro recruitment is seeking an HGV Technician for a truck hire company based near Wolverhampton/Willenhall. You will service, diagnose and repair a range of commercial vehicles from 2.5 to 32 tonnes, with diagnostics, MOT prep and preventative maintenance responsibilities.

The role is Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, paying £48,000–£50,000 per year and with overtime at 1.5x. Requires UK driving licence; Class 2 is desirable and may be supported.

Qualifications

• HGV/commercial vehicle qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds
• Full UK driving licence held
• Class 2 HGV licence desirable but not essential (may be supported)

We re recruiting for an HGV Technician for a truck hire company, looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Wolverhampton, Willenhall.

About the Company

We are a specialist vehicle hire company, owned and operated by the same dedicated senior management team, with additional depots across the UK, Wolverhampton (HQ), Taunton (South West), Borough Green (South East), Plean, Scotland, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

We specialise in supplying high-quality, modern vehicles to the Utility, Civil Engineering and Highway Maintenance sectors, including Asphalt Hotboxes, Tippers, Tipper Grabs and 4x4s, for both short- and long-term self-drive hire.

HGV Technician The Role Will Involve

• Working on a range of Commercial Vehicles including 4x4s, tippers, tipper grabs and hot boxes
• Vehicles ranging from 2.5 to 32 tonne GVM
• Vehicle diagnostics
• Inspections and servicing
• Repair of vehicle defects
• MOT preparation
• Preventative maintenance

HGV Technician Must Hold

• HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanical qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship
• Full current UK driving licence
• A Class 2 HGV licence or Class 1 desirable but not essential); however, candidates without this may be supported in obtaining the Class 2 HGV, subject to company agreement and conditions
