Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd in Evesham is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a growing workshop team. You will service, maintain and repair HGVs and trailers to high DVSA standards.

Ideal candidates will have Level 2/3 NVQ or equivalent, strong fault-finding skills and a full UK driving licence (HGV licence is a plus). Overtime is available and you’ll work Monday to Friday in a well-equipped workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• Level 2/3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA compliance.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
• Keep accurate service and repair records.
• Work safely according to procedures.
• Collaborate with drivers and workshop team.

Salary: Up to £50,830 per year, depending on experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician looking for a great opportunity with a well-established and growing business?

We’re looking for a skilled, reliable and motivated technician to join our maintenance team in Evesham.

You’ll play a vital role in keeping our HGV fleet and trailers safe, roadworthy, compliant and operating at its best.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure they meet all legal and DVSA requirements.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs when required.
• Keep accurate service, inspection and repair records.
• Work safely and professionally in line with company procedures.
• Work closely with drivers, transport managers and the wider workshop team.

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• A relevant Level 2/3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Good knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle compliance.
• The ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
• A full UK driving licence. HGV licence desirable but not essential.
• Good communication, organisation and attention to detail.

Even Better If You Have

• Experience working across a range of commercial vehicle manufacturers.
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
• IRTEC accreditation.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment.
