Qualifications

• HGV maintenance and repair experience preferred.
• Fault diagnosis across hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety and workshop practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles to industry standards.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Complete maintenance records and job cards accurately.
• Support apprentice technicians and contribute to an efficient workshop.

Requirements

• City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience in HGV maintenance and repair
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
• Good knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and workshop best practices
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving

Responsibilities
