Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting an HGV Technician to join a well-established industrial business based in Bathgate!

You will maintain vehicles to DVSA standards, prepare MOTs, perform checks and support maintenance, with a Monday to Friday 8am–5:30pm schedule. The role offers £20 per hour with overtime available and a commitment to safety and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 preferred).
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Reliable, professional approach to work.
• C or C&E licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining vehicles in line with DVSA and company requirements.
• MOT preparation and basic vehicle checks (tyre pressure, oil levels, wiper condition).
• Supporting the maintenance team with general vehicle upkeep.
• Completing all relevant paperwork related to vehicle maintenance.
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety standards.

What’s on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm (flexibility may be required)
• £20 per hour (overtime available)

As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:

• Maintaining vehicles in line with DVSA and company requirements
• Carrying out MOT preparation and basic vehicle checks including tyre pressure, oil levels and wiper condition
• Supporting the maintenance team with general vehicle upkeep
• Completing all relevant paperwork related to vehicle maintenance
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all safety standards

To be considered as an HGV Technician, you will need:

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician (ideally also qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance)
• Full UK driving licence
• A reliable, professional approach to work
• C or C&E licence (preferred, but not essential)
