Job summary

Tru Talent in Andover is seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to service, maintain and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles. You will work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with access to ongoing training and development.

You'll diagnose faults with modern equipment, prepare MOTs, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. A full UK driving license is required, with HGV license desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV/HGV mechanic or similar role.
• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and inspection work.
• Ensure work meets health and safety standards.
• Complete accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Work as part of a workshop team.
• Respond to call outs on rota.

We're recruiting for an experiencedHGV Technician /HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitterto join a professional workshop team, maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles. You'll be responsible for keeping vehicles safe, reliable and roadworthy, with access to ongoing training and development.

The HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV FitterRole:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete MOT preparation and inspection work
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and health and safety standards
• Complete accurate job cards and service documentation
• Work effectively as part of a workshop team
• Respond to call outs when on rota

About You

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability
• Good attention to detail and quality focus
• Full UK driving licence
• HGV licence is desirable
• Experience in a dealership or fleet environment
