Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking a HGV Tanker Apprentice / Drainage Operative to join our onsite team on a permanent, full-time basis, with up to 4 nights away. You will learn from the Senior HGV Tanker Driver while delivering high-quality service to customers across the UK.

Responsibilities include tank and line testing, dewatering, RAMS documentation, and on-site liaison with customers. Training is provided, with opportunities to lead site activities and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a full clean UK driving licence, categories to operate Company vehicles up to 3.5 tonne.
• Working on and around Petrol Forecourts.
• Right to Work in UK is essential.
• RAMS documentation knowledge is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently or as part of a team to perform services for customers, including tank and line testing, VR testing and tank dewatering; onsite training provided.
• Respond to and react to call outs for critical issues.
• Attend site briefings as a company representative and, on occasion, act as team leader.
• Carry out near miss and incident reporting; in-house training will be provided.
• Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and further services.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure equipment, PPE and tools are in good order and ready for use.
• Complete all works in a timely manner, including paperwork submissions.
• Liaise with supervision regarding works and opportunities for improvements.
• Undertake any other duties for which you are qualified.
