Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking a HGV Tanker Apprentice / Drainage Operative to join our field team in the UK. This permanent, full-time role is onsite with up to 4 nights away, offering hands-on training and development alongside seasoned professionals.

You will learn from the Senior HGV Tanker Driver, perform tank and line testing, dewatering, and RAMS documentation while ensuring safety and quality in every job, including liaising with customers and maintaining vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• Must possess a full clean UK driving licence, categories to operate Company vehicles up to 3.5tonne.
• Right to Work in UK is essential.
• Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Operate independently or as part of a team to deliver services to customers, including tank and line testing, VR testing and tank dewatering; onsite training provided.
• Respond to call-outs for critical issues.
• May act as site supervisor/lead operative and attend site briefings as a company representative.
• Carry out near miss and potential incident reporting; in-house training provided.
• Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure equipment, PPE and tools are in good order and available for use.
• Complete all works in a timely manner including paperwork and submission to supervision.
• Liaise with supervision regarding works and improvements; undertake other duties as qualified.
