Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic for a permanent role в Bristol. You will service, repair, and maintain heavy vehicles, using up-to-date diagnostic tools and manufacturer guidelines. A full UK driving licence is essential, and Class 1/2 licences are advantageous.

The position offers an attractive salary up to £55,000 with enhanced overtime and progression opportunities. Ongoing training and a supportive workshop environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic is essential.
• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
• Full UK driving licence required; Class 1/2 licences advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Following warranty procedures and documenting work.
• Reporting defects to ensure highest standards of workmanship.

As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Diagnosing faults efficiently using the latest diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
• Following warranty procedures throughout the repair process and completing all relevant documentation accurately.
• Identifying and reporting any additional vehicle defects to the Workshop Controller to ensure the highest standard of work.

To be successful in this role as a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter, you should have:

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
• Own tools required.
• Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• A full UK driving licence.
• Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous.
