Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Banbury. You will repair to manufacturer procedures and work as part of a busy workshop team.

The successful candidate must have HGV experience, own tools, and hold City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, plus a full UK driving licence. Class 1 or 2 licences are desirable. Salary £58k-£65k with benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HGV Mechanic or similar in a commercial vehicle workshop.
• Must have own tools and full UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics preferred.
• Class 1 or 2 licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Comply with warranty procedures during repairs.
• Report vehicle defects to workshop controller.

Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle dealership, is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team.

As an HGV Mechanic you will be responsible for

• Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Comply with warranty procedures during repairs.
• Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller.

The successful HGV Mechanic should have

• Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or HGV Fitter.
• Must have own tools.
• Ideally be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Class 1 or 2 licence desirable.
