Job summary

Enva in Linwood is looking for a HGV Trade Driver to join the Transport team. You will work a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, 45 hours with overtime eligibility, operating assigned vehicles on designated routes in a timely and customer-focused manner.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, reporting incidents, waste transport, completing tickets, and maintaining safety standards. The role requires a Class 2 LGV licence and Driver CPC with a professional, proactive approach.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, incidents and accidents promptly to enable investigation.
• Carry out daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report accidents, vehicle defects, and breakdowns.
• Transport waste materials between locations by HGV vehicle.
• Ensure compliance with Duty of Care and complete waste transfer notes; load sheets and secure transit.

Description

We are recruiting a HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), 45h with eligibility for overtime

In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Class 2 LGV driving licence.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
