Job summary

Enva in Linwood is recruiting a HGV RORO Driver for a dayshift 6am–4pm, 5 days a week, 45 hours with overtime eligibility. You will operate assigned vehicles on designated routes safely, professionally and with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities include reporting safety concerns, conducting pre-start inspections, handling waste transport tasks, completing waste transfer notes, ensuring load security, and maintaining high safety standards and cab cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 LGV driving licence held.
• Driver CPC is required.
• Professional, organised, and able to work under pressure.
• Good time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns and incidents promptly to enable full investigation.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report accidents, vehicle defects and breakdowns.
• Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between locations.
• Inspect waste and complete waste transfer notes; sheet loads for secure transit.
• Use the handheld device to record information and obtain customer signatures.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare standards per policy and procedures.
• Keep driving cab clean and well maintained.
• Assist in coordinating work to maintain efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Description

We are recruiting a HGV RORO Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 6am to 4pm, 5 days a week, 45h with eligibility for overtime.

In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
