Job summary

Enva Colwick, Nottingham, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to diagnose faults, carry out major repairs and respond to breakdowns across a waste management fleet. You will ensure repairs meet safety, legal and company standards while returning vehicles to service quickly.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, repairing structural components, and servicing lifting equipment on waste collection vehicles, skip loaders, and heavy goods vehicles.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum HGV working environment.
• Level 3 City & Guilds maintenance of heavy goods vehicles (or equivalent) or C&E Licence.

• Carry out structural and bodywork repairs where required.
• Repair lifting equipment and ancillary systems fitted to waste collection vehicles.
• Complete repairs safely and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Description

The role focuses on fault diagnosis, major repairs, breakdown response and defect rectification across a fleet of waste collection vehicles, skip loaders, hook loaders (RORO), trade waste vehicles and heavy goods vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• To diagnose, repair and rectify defects on the company's waste management fleet, ensuring vehicles are returned to service safely, efficiently and in full compliance with legal and company standards.
