Job summary

Everi, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a professional Class 1 driver to join our parcel delivery fleet. You will operate a Volvo lorry less than four years old, with high-spec that includes fridges and leather seating for comfort. The role runs Monday to Friday on a 9-hour shift, with a 45-hour week.

You will plan routes, ensure timely deliveries, and may assist with loading or unloading at some sites. Daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting are required.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Driving licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification card required.
• DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe road use.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Volvo lorry from our fleet (vehicles <4 years old).
• Plan and follow routes, staying on schedule.
• Be home after every 9-hour shift with a 45-hour working week.
• Assist with loading/unloading where required.
• Scan consignments and operate pallet trucks when needed.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and file a Defect Report if necessary.

What You'll Do:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They're a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you're comfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you'll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

• We don't micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes.
• The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, so there's plenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - but you'll still be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.
• You'll make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time.
• At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others, you'll need to do it yourself.
• Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.
• You'll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
