Job summary

Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich is recruiting HGV Drivers for a client in Bury St Edmunds. Start ASAP with a temporary-to-permanent contract and support from the Driver Hire team.

Expect various roles including Class 1 and Class 2 work, with day and night shifts, ADR optional upgrade after probation. Applicants must hold a valid UK licence and CPC/Digicard.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual licence
• Category C or CE entitlement
• Valid CPC & Digicard
• Have no more than 6 effective penalty points
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements

Responsibilities

• Class 1 & 2 pallet network deliveries and trunking.
• Night driver shifts with automotive parts delivery.
• 7:00am starts for pallet deliveries and 7:00pm starts for trunking.
• ADR not required for all roles but available upgrades post-probation.

HGV Driver

Pay rate: £14.79 - £19.96

Contract: Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for HGV Drivers to start ASAP for our client based in Bury St Edmunds, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team.

The successful HGV Drivers will receive:

Class 1:

Days - £15.54/hr

Nights - £17.71/hr

ADR - £2.25/hr extra

Class 2:

Days - £14.79/hr

Nights - £16.82/hr

ADR - £2.25/hr extra.

Guaranteed 10hrs per day.

28 days holiday prorated on PAYE.

Upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a HGV Drivers:

We're recruiting for a variety of roles within the same company based in Bury St Edmunds.

Class 1 & 2 Pallet Network

7:00-7:30am starts | General pallet deliveries.

Night Drivers

Midnight starts | Automotive parts delivered in roll cages.

7.5T Drivers

7:00am starts | Flooring deliveries with heavy handballing.

Class 1 Trunk Drivers

7:00pm starts | ADR and non-ADR trunking available.

As a HGV Driver you must:

Full UK manual licence

This position is commutable from Stowmarket, Ipswich, Thetford, Cambridge, Newmarket and other areas nearby to Bury St Edmunds.
