Driver Hire Colchester is recruiting for Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers on a temporary, ad-hoc basis with part-time shifts initially and potential for full-time work. Immediate start available across the CO postcode area. Class 2 shifts from £16.25/h and Class 1 from £17.37/h (weekday days); nights £21–£23/h. PAYE only. Must have own transport, valid licences, CPC and Tachograph, up to 6 penalty points, PPE. Start times vary 04:00–07:00.

Driver Hire Colchesterare currently recruiting for Class 1 and Class 2HGV Drivers to join our team.

Our clients are based across the CO postcode; Colchester, Sudbury,etc. They require drivers to cover busy periods, sickness and holiday.

Thisa temporary, adhoc role, part time shifts availableinitally with potential for full time shifts.

Immediate start available

Class 2 LGV shifts payrate starts at £16.25p/h weekday, Monday to Friday day work,

Class 1 LGV shifts pay rate starts at £17.37p/h weekday, Monday to Friday day work,

Nights £21.00 - £23.00 p/h

PAYE only - not umbrella - not LTD

Job Details:

• Variety and flexibility. Opportunities to work for a variety of clients, no two weeks are the same. Choose your availabilty on a weekly bases and pick up work when it suits you.


• Start times vary 04:00 and 07:00 AM.


• Mainly Monday to Friday Day work, howevernights are available


• Trunking, General haulage, Curtain siders, Flat bed, Refrigerated trailers, Builders merchants, palletised deliveriesETC


• Local and regional deliveries,


• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations


• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

Requirements:

• Must have your own transport to travel to and from work.


• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence or Class 2 (CAT C) licence,CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.


• No More then 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or similar endorsements).


• Must have appropriate PPE, including steel toe cap boots (Hi-Vis provided by Driver Hire).


• Must be able to work with both paper-based and PDA-based delivery systems.


• 2 yrs experience preferred but not essential

*Pay above is inclusive of holiday pay at 12.07%, other options for accruing holiday please ask.
