Job summary

Driver Hire Sudbury are currently recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team.

Our clients are based across the CO postcode; Sudbury, Halstead, and surrounding areas. They require drivers to cover busy periods, sickness and holiday. Immediate start available. Pay rate starts at £17.37 p/h on weekdays, PAYE only. This is a temporary, adhoc role with part-time shifts initially and potential for full-time work.

Qualifications

• Must have own transport to travel to and from work.
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or similar endorsements).
• Must have PPE, including steel toe cap boots (Hi-Vis provided).
• Able to work with both paper-based and PDA-based delivery systems.
• 2 yrs experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver local and regional loads to clients.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure tachograph compliance.
• Maintain professional, customer-focused approach during deliveries.
• Trunking, general haulage, curtain siders, flat bed, refrigerated trailers as required.
• Flexible start times and routes across CO postcodes.

Must be willing to driver Class 1 and Class 2 LGV.

This a temporary, adhoc role, part time shifts available initally with potential for full time shifts.

Pay rate starts at £17.37 p/h weekday, monday to Friday day work

PAYE only - not umbrella - not LTD

Job Details

• Variety and flexibility. Opportunities to work for a variety of clients, no two weeks are the same.
• Start times vary 04:00 and 07:00 AM.
• Mainly Monday to Friday Day work, however nights are available
• Trunking, General haulage, Curtain siders, Flat bed, Refrigerated trailers, Builders merchants ETC
• Local and regional deliveries
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach
