Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a dedicated HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver/Loader in Basingstoke to provide a complete waste and recycling service for residents and businesses. You will drive a pre-planned route with Loaders, ensuring safety checks and vehicle readiness before starting rounds.

The role requires a valid Class 1/2 licence with Driver CPC & Tachograph Card, physical fitness, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude to help the team hit targets and deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence / Driver CPC & Tachograph Card
• Physically fit and healthy due to the nature of the business
• Be willing to go the extra mile whilst on your rounds to enable your team to hit their targets

Responsibilities

• Set off on a pre-planned route as the driver with your team of Loaders collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties
• Be the public face of Serco's Environmental Services team in the community. Before setting out on your rounds, ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready

Salary:£34,997.02 per annum + excellent benefits
Working hours:40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 6.00am - 2.30pm Including Bank Holidays and occasional Saturday work

As a HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver/Loader in our Basingstoke team, you'll provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents and community in Basingstoke. With a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse Collection staff, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels ofcustomer serviceto all members of the community that we serve.

You'll be entrusted to:

• You will set off on a pre-planned route as the driver with your team of Loaders you are working with collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• You will be the public face of Serco's Environmental Services team in the community. Before setting out on your rounds, you will ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready.
