Job summary

Serco is hiring a HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver for the Rushmoor area. The role involves delivering a full waste and recycling service to residents and businesses, following a pre-planned route and maintaining vehicle safety checks.

You will be the public face of Serco within the community, ensuring high standards and excellent customer service. Salary is £35,369.91 per annum with 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver CPC.
• Be physically fit and healthy.
• Be a dedicated, friendly and professional team player.
• Be willing to go the extra mile on rounds to hit targets.

Responsibilities

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver with loaders, collecting waste and recycling from homes and businesses.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks are completed and the truck is clean and work-ready before starting round.
• Work alongside loaders to stay active and complete tasks efficiently.

Join our Rushmoor team as a HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and play a vital role in keeping your community clean, safe, and sustainable. Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.

You’ll Be Entrusted To

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round

In our team, we all pitch in! As well as driving the lorry, you’ll work alongside our loaders too – staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you...

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Are physically fit and healthy (this is a must, due to the nature of the work!)
• Are a dedicated, friendly and professional team player
