Job summary

Metro Rod Lancashire is hiring a full-time HGV Tanker Driver/Jet Vac Driver based at the Wigan depot in Lancashire. Salary is dependent on experience and the role involves operating tanker units, jetting, cleaning and maintenance of drainage systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates will have tanker jetting experience, a clean HGV license, a full UK driving licence and be willing to work occasional or unsociable hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in Tanker Jetting is essential.
• Clean HGV Licence.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS preferable.
• Willingness to work occasional / unsociable hours.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Variety of Tanker units, you will carry out a range of services associated with the tankers, cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drains, whilst delivering an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.
• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided

What do we look for?

Suitable candidates will be able to display a great working attitude together with skills pertaining to the clearance, cleaning and repair of drainage systems.

• Experience in Tanker Jetting is essential
• Clean HGV License
• Confined space preferable
• High pressure water jetting experience
• CSCS preferable
• Will have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude and willing to work additional hours as needed.
• Want to be part of an exciting, growing and progressive business with an increasingly formidable brand presence
• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Candidates are asked to consider their home location as the tankers are garaged at Wigan and you will need to consider any travel to and from this site in your decision.
