Job summary

Metro Rod Ltd. West Yorkshire is seeking a Drainage Engineer to perform cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains. You will operate high-pressure water jetting equipment, carry out surveys and document results for commercial and domestic clients.

Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping, excellent customer service and joining an on-call rota to support clients 24/7. A full UK driving licence is required and training will be provided for relevant skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with water jetting or CCTV surveying preferred but training provided for the right candidate.
• Good problem solving and technical knowledge.
• Willingness to work unsocial hours and be part of a 24/7 on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operate High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment to safety standards.
• Carry out surveys and document findings in internal systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
• Record job details accurately using internal/client apps.
• Communicate effectively with clients and Metro Rod Support Centre.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to the business needs
  

What are we looking for?

• High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
• Be willing to work some unsociable hours
• Full UK driving licence
• Must live in the West Yorkshire area
