Job summary

Metro Rod West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced HGV Tanker Driver (HGV Class 2) to operate our Tanker unit, carry out drainage-related servicing, and deliver high standards of customer service. The role involves pre-planned maintenance and occasional reactive work, with overtime opportunities and a requirement to hold a full UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will have experience driving a Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker, strong communication skills, and IT literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV Driver Class 2, preferably in drainage/sewerage or water services.
• Ability to operate Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker where required.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate our Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker unit, performing tankering, cleaning, and basic maintenance for drainage systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service and technical expertise on site and at customer locations.
• Carry out pre-planned maintenance works with some emergency reactive tasks.

HGV Tanker Driver (HGV Class 2)

£16-20 per hour plus overtime
45+ hours per week

What’s involved?

Operating our Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker unit, you will carry out a range of services associated with the tankers, cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drainage systems, whilst delivering an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise. Predominantly you will be carrying our pre-planned maintenance works and in some cases emergency reactive work.

Th ideal candidate would be someone who has prior experience working for a water board using a Cityflex tanker.

The Person…

• An experienced HGV Driver Class 2 and with sector experience in drainage
• Ideally experience driving a Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker
• Strong communication skills
• IT Literacy including smart phone technology
• CSCS, HPWJ, Confined Spaces and associated cards (preferred)
• A positive, flexible, can-do attitude

• Be willing to work occasional/unsociable hours, weekends/nights
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• HGV Class 2 driving license
