Job summary

Metro Rod Ltd. is seeking an experienced HGV Tanker Driver (HGV Class 2) for the West Yorkshire area. You will operate our Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker, perform drainage maintenance, and deliver high standards of customer service.

Overtime opportunities and a defined franchised territory within West Yorkshire are included. The role requires a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 entitlement, flexibility to work extra hours, and strong communication and IT skills.

Qualifications

• An experienced HGV Driver Class 2 with sector experience in drainage
• Experience driving a Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker (preferred)
• Strong communication skills
• IT literacy including smartphone technology
• CSCS, HPWJ, Confined Spaces and related cards (preferred)
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Willing to work occasional/unsociable hours, weekends/nights
• Hold a full UK driving licence and HGV Class 2 licence
• Team player

Responsibilities

• Operate our Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker unit and carry out services related to drainage systems
• Deliver pre-planned maintenance works and perform occasional emergency reactive work
• Provide excellent customer service and technical expertise while working within a defined franchised territory in West Yorkshire

HGV Tanker Driver (HGV Class 2)

Metrorod West Yorkshire

£16-20 per hour plus overtime

45+ hours per week

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What’s involved?

Operating our Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker unit, you will carry out a range of services associated with the tankers, cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drainage systems, whilst delivering an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise. Predominantly you will be carrying our pre-planned maintenance works and in some cases emergency reactive work.

Th ideal candidate would be someone who has prior experience working for a water board using a Cityflex tanker.

The Person…

• An experienced HGV Driver Class 2 and with sector experience in drainage
• Ideally experience driving a Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker
• Strong communication skills
• IT Literacy including smart phone technology
• CSCS, HPWJ, Confined Spaces and associated cards (preferred)
• A positive, flexible, can-do attitude
