Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver for the Caenby Corner area (LN8) to support local waste collection services. You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on residential routes, assist loaders, and perform daily vehicle checks while maintaining safety and professionalism.

The role is long-term with temporary contract status, offering overtime and weekly pay. A strong health/fitness level and a team-oriented attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence and CPC + Digital Tachograph card required.
• Previous experience in refuse driving or similar role preferred.
• Good level of physical fitness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work within the Caenby Corner (LN8) area, supporting local waste collection services.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household waste, working as part of a team to keep the community clean and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.

Assisting loaders with the collection of household waste when required. (Not often)
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects

Ensuring all collections are completed safely and in line withregulations
Providing a professional and courteous service to the public.

Duration: Long term, perm oppertunities.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £15.08 p/h for first 37 hours. All hours over paid at £22.62 (Garenteed minimum of atleast 1 hour over time each week)Minimum weekly pay: £580.58Weekly Pay28 days annual leave pro-rata

Experience & Qualifications
