Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver for the Caenby Corner (LN8) area to support local waste collection services.

This hands-on role involves safe, efficient household waste collection with a small team, daily vehicle checks, and adherence to regulations. The position offers a 4-day week, 9.75-hour shifts (37 hours average), with overtime paid at higher rates. Long-term permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• New passes accepted.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience in refuse driving or similar is preferred but not essential.
• Good physical fitness required.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.
• Carrying out household waste collections safely and efficiently.
• Working with refuse loaders as part of a team.
• Assisting with loading duties when required (occasional).
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly.
• Ensuring all collections comply with relevant regulations.
• Providing a professional, courteous service to the public.
• Maintaining high safety and professionalism on every shift.
