Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver for the Caenby Corner (LN8) area to support local waste collection services.

This hands-on role involves safe, efficient household waste collection with a small team, daily vehicle checks, and adherence to regulations. The position offers a 4-day week, 9.75-hour shifts (37 hours average), with overtime paid at higher rates. Long-term permanent opportunities.

Formación

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• New passes accepted.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience in refuse driving or similar is preferred but not essential.
• Good physical fitness required.

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work in the Caenby Corner (LN8) area, supporting local waste collection services.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household waste, working as part of a team to help keep the local community clean and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential collection routes.
• Carrying out household waste collections safely and efficiently.
• Working as part of a team alongside refuse loaders.
• Assisting with loading duties when required, although this will only be occasional.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and promptly reporting any defects or issues.
• Ensuring all collections are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures.
• Providing a professional, polite and courteous service to members of the public.
• Maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism throughout each shift

Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence

(Will take new passes)

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

Previous experience in refuse driving or a similar role preferred, but not essential

Good level of physical fitness (due to the nature of the role)

Strong team player with a positive attitude

Long term, perm oppertunities.

4 day working week

9.75 hour shifts

averaging 37 hours a week

(All hours over 37 paid at time and a half)

£15.08 p/h for first 37 hours. All hours over paid at £22.62 (Garenteed minimum of atleast 1 hour over time each week)
