Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking a Class 2 refuse driver to operate a refuse vehicle on planned residential routes around Caenby Corner (LN8). You will work as part of a team to ensure safe and timely waste collection.

The role runs Monday to Friday with a 4-day week option, 9.75-hour shifts averaging 37 hours weekly. Overtime paid at time and a half after 37 hours; hourly rates start at £15.08 and rise to £22.62 for overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Previous experience in refuse driving or similar role preferred, but not essential
• Good level of physical fitness
• Strong team player with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.
• Assist loaders with the collection of household waste when required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure all collections are completed safely and in line with regulations.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work within the Caenby Corner (LN8) area, supporting local waste collection services.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household waste, working as part of a team to keep the community clean and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.
• Assisting loaders with the collection of household waste when required. (Not often)
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all collections are completed safely and in line withregulations
• Providing a professional and courteous service to the public.

Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence

(Will take new passes)

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

Previous experience in refuse driving or a similar role preferred, but not essential

Good level of physical fitness (due to the nature of the role)

Strong team player with a positive attitude

Long term, perm oppertunities.
