Job summary

Driver Hire Portsmouth is recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our team near Chichester. You will deliver palletised goods to customers across the South coast, ensuring safe loading, delivery, and accurate paperwork.

The role is permanent, offers a salary of £33,930 per annum and local-area deliveries. A reliable, customer-focused professional with CPC and Tachograph Card is ideal, and you’ll be supported by our friendly recruitment team throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (C) licence with CPC and Tachograph card.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• Experience delivering palletised goods is essential.
• Knowledge of Chichester and surrounding areas is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit with ability to handle manual tasks.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport and deliver palletised goods to customers.
• Deliver to customers across Chichester and surrounding areas.
• Ensure goods are delivered safely and securely.
• Assist with loading and unloading where required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Provide excellent customer service at each delivery.
• Ensure all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed correctly.
• Comply with all company, road safety and transport regulations.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our customer, a well-established business based near Chichester.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver who is looking for a stable, long-term position delivering palletised goods to customers across the South coast.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (HGV/LGV, Category C) driving licence
• Valid CPC and Tacho Card
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous experience delivering palletised goods is essential
• Good knowledge of Chichester and surrounding areas would be advantageous
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physically fit, as some manual handling will be involved
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work
