Job summary

Driver Hire Gatwick is recruiting a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join one of our valued clients based in Crawley. The role involves delivering palletised frozen foods, picking and packing, and supporting the logistics team in the warehouse.

A permanent opportunity could be available for the right candidate. Starting early in Crawley, candidates must have a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and Tachograph card, and up to six penalty points.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card are mandatory.
• HGV and Warehouse experience preferred.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements: CD/IN/DR/TT).
• Able to operate vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Loads must be secure at all times.

Responsibilities

• Delivering palletised wholesale frozen foods products.
• Picking and packing of orders.
• Load and unload goods and track inventory and stock.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks in line with Health & Safety requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations.
• Safe loading and unloading of goods.
• Maintain a clean and organised warehouse.

The Role

• Tuesday to Saturday from 04:00 am to 05:00 am start
• Delivering palletised wholesale frozen foods products
• Picking and Packing of orders
• Load and unload goods and track inventory and stock
• Conducting daily vehicle checks in line with Health & Safety requirements
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations
• Safe loading and unloading of goods
• Maintain a clean and organised warehouse

About You

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• HGV and Warehouse experience

• Able to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
• Comfortable ensuring loads are secure at all times
• PPE required: Hi-Vis and Safety Boots
• Own transport required to commute to and from the depot
• Must comply with all on-site health and safety procedures

• £19.00 per hour (Umbrella rate) - permanent opportunity available
