Job summary

Driver Hire Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) driver for palletised goods in Portsmouth. This temporary to permanent role offers a salary of £32,000 per year and local deliveries.

You will hold a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Tacho, with previous experience delivering pallets and providing excellent customer service. Immediate start.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 driving licence (HGV/LGV, Cat C).
• Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• Experience delivering palletised goods is essential.
• Knowledge of Portsmouth and surrounding areas is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit with ability for light manual handling.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport and deliver palletised goods.
• Carry out deliveries across Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
• Ensure goods are delivered safely and securely.
• Assist with loading and unloading where required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Provide excellent customer service at each delivery.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Comply with company, road safety and transport regulations.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our customer, a well-established business based in Portsmouth.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver who is looking for a stable, long-term position delivering palletised goods to customers across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (HGV/LGV, Category C) driving licence
