Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment in Horley near Gatwick seeks a Class 2 HGV Driver for a temp-to-perm role. You will operate a 26t rigid, curtain-side vehicle, mainly on deliveries in London and the southeast, with a minimum 40 hours per week at £15.50 per hour.

This is a stable, long-term opportunity for professional drivers; immediate starts available. You will perform daily safety checks, secure loads, and complete paperwork while providing excellent customer service and complying with drivers' hours

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 licence (Category C)
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
• Curtain-side experience
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and transport legislation

Responsibilities

• Class 2 general haulage deliveries
• Delivery of palletised and general freight
• Daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting

We are looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to join a well-established and growing transport operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for a stable, long-term role with genuine permanent prospects. The role is primarily general haulage, with the majority of deliveries being in London and the south east.

If you enjoy being out on the road rather than completing high-volume multi-drop work, this could be the ideal position.

This is driving a 26tn rigid, curtain-side vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Class 2 general haulage deliveries
• Collection and delivery of palletised and general freight
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
• Securing loads safely before departure
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Providing excellent customer service at collection and delivery points
• Working in accordance with Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
• Maintaining a clean and professional vehicle

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
