Job summary

Qube Recruitment seeks an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a busy transport operation in the UK. You will perform multi‑drop deliveries to convenience stores, load and secure goods, and maintain accurate delivery paperwork.

This temp‑to‑perm role offers a four‑day week (Mon–Thu) with overtime on alternate Saturdays, and a competitive hourly rate. Start times vary by day, with early morning shifts and a 40‑hour week.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Previous HGV multi‑drop experience preferred.
• Knowledge of UK driving laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi‑drop deliveries to convenience stores.
• Load, check and secure vehicle loads.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices as required.
• Follow all road transport, company and health and safety procedures.
• Perform manual handling duties when required.

Pay: £18.25-£27.37 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday

Overtime: Every other Saturday

Contract: Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy transport operation, completing multi-drop deliveries to convenience stores.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity offering a consistent four-day working week, with the added benefit of overtime opportunities every other Saturday.

Working Hours

• Monday: Start between 04:00 and 07:00.
• Tuesday: Start between 11:00 and 15:00.
• Wednesday: Start between 11:00 and 15:00.
• Thursday: Start between 11:00 and 15:00.

Additional overtime: Every other Saturday.

Saturday shifts paid at overtime rates.

Please note that flexibility to work the additional Saturday shift every other week is essential.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries to convenience stores, ensuring goods are delivered safely, accurately and on time.

• Completing multi-drop deliveries to convenience stores.
• Loading, checking and securing vehicle loads.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices where required.
• Following all road transport, company and health and safety procedures.
• Carrying out manual handling duties when required.

Requirements

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience, ideally within a multi-drop environment.
• A good understanding of UK driving laws and regulations.
• Flexibility to work early morning starts.
• Availability to work every other Saturday for overtime.
• The ability to carry out manual handling duties.
