Job summary

Pertemps Milton Keynes is seeking HGV Class 2 drivers for a temp-to-perm role in Northampton. Training is provided, and offered weekly earnings during the agency period with a strong permanent salary on completion.

Role involves delivering to UK retail stores, 6–12 drops per day, and occasional unloading. Shift patterns are 5 on / 3 off with early start times and full induction provided.

We are recruiting HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a leading distribution client based in Northampton.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, offering strong weekly earnings during the agency period and the chance to secure a permanent role with a salary of £39,500+ per annum.

The Role

• Delivering goods to retail stores across the UK
• Typically 6-12 drops per day
• Majority of deliveries are caged deliveries (90% simple drop and go)
• Occasional unloading within stores when required
• Shift length: 9-12 hours
• Start times: Between 04:00 and 08:00
• Shift pattern: 5 on / 3 off rota

What We're Looking For

• Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Current Driver CPC qualification (DQC Card)

• Ability to work a 5 on / 3 off shift pattern
• Flexibility to start from 04:00
• Maximum of 3 penalty points
• Physically fit and comfortable with multi-drop deliveries
• Multi-drop experience preferred but not essential
• Newly qualified drivers encouraged to apply
