Job summary

SRG Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced Class 2/HGV2 drivers for regular work in the Portsmouth area. The role involves multi-drop pallet deliveries, loading and unloading, load security, and handling delivery paperwork with customers.

We welcome drivers from Multi-Drop, Skip, Tipper, Waste and related backgrounds. Flexible full-time/part-time hours with overtime and temp-to-perm opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C / Class 2 licence for a minimum of 1 year.
• Previous commercial HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Multi-drop pallet experience essential.
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No DD / DR / DG / IN endorsement codes.
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and WTD.

Job description

CLASS 2 / 7.5 TONNE MULTI-DROP DRIVERS - PORTSMOUTH

SRG Recruitment are seeking experienced LGV / HGV Class 2 / 7.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Drivers for a client based in the Portsmouth area.

The role will mainly involve multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods, using an electric or manual pump truck. Some strapping and securing of loads may also be required. Previous experience with multi-drop pallet deliveries is essential.

We are also interested in speaking with Class 2 drivers from a range of backgrounds, including Multi-Drop, Skip Driver, Tipper Driver, Waste Driver, HIAB Driver, Hook Loader, Grab Driver, Curtainside, Flatbed, Tanker, Trunking, Distribution and General Haulage experience.

Drivers must be comfortable with loading and unloading, securing loads, completing delivery paperwork and dealing professionally with customers. Good knowledge of the local area and experience working to delivery schedules would be advantageous.

THE ROLE

• All types of Class 2 experience will be considered, including Multi-Drop, Skip Lorry, Tipper, Waste & Recycling, HIAB, Grab, Hook Loader, Curtainside, Flatbed, Tanker, Trunking, Distribution and General Haulage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Category C / Class 2 licence for a minimum of 1 year
• Previous commercial HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Multi-drop pallet experience essential
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC

• Good knowledge of the local area
• Reliable, flexible and hardworking attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a transport team
